I had some very strong feelings about someone once . . . and I wrote them down. There came a point where I felt the person needed to hear it . . . so I eventually I got out of my way & shared them with him. Our relationship was better because of that. In fact, every person I've ever done that with, has left me with a beautiful lesson of trusting my instincts.

Expressing my self has nothing to do with being fearless . . . because I don't look forward to rejection any more than anyone else. Honestly, it drives me crazy to keep feelings & thoughts confined. If I don't tell the person in question, then I journal it --- but one way or another it needs to be exorcised. I don't need it living in my mind for too long. It needs to go where it belongs before it starts giving me a headache.

That is the simple truth of why I speak my mind, when I choose to do so. I like my sanity & I get no peace until I let whatever it is out.
